Is it difficult for you to pay with a debit card or credit card?
Paying with the credit card has several advantages; it’s a practical, simple and safe way to make purchases online. However, it can be frustrating when your payment is denied or you experience an error message.
Your credit card payment can be declined for several reasons. If you receive the message “Payment failed,” please check if:
- You have entered the correct information?
The most common reason for declined credit card payments is that some information has been mistyped. Please check that your credit card number, expiration date, and security code has been entered correctly.
- Is your card expired?
Both debit cards and credit cards have expiration dates, please check that your card is still valid at the time of purchase.
- Does your card support international transactions?
Some banks restrict international transactions to avoid credit card fraud. If you are in doubt, please check with your bank whether they allow you to make international purchases.
- Do you have sufficient balance in your bank account?
If you have reached the purchase or withdrawal limit on your credit card or do not have sufficient funds in your account, you will not be allowed to make the payment. You may contact your bank about adjusting your daily withdrawal and transaction limits.
- Has your bank account been blocked?
In order to protect your deposits, your bank might have temporarily blocked your account due to unusual activities. This can happen if you have made a suspiciously high amount of purchases over a short period of time. If you experience such problems you will have to contact your bank to verify your activities.
